Please contact Mrs. Stephanie McFarlen via e-mail or at (256) 881.0553 ext. 338 for more information.

Summer Office Hours

The Grace Lutheran School office will be open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. during the summer. Have a safe and enjoyable break!

Top CDC Plastic Caps Collection Student

Kaylin McFarlen was one of the students that counted a lot of plastic caps for our school. A big thank you to Kaylin’s dad, Nathan, for helping count caps for Grace Lutheran. Grace Lutheran School and CDC collected over 258,000 plastic caps this year and was in the top 10 for the city of Huntsville. Please keep the caps coming during the summer! We will take any plastic caps that are twist on/off types. They cannot have metal of any kind in them. Thank you!

Cyber Forensics Camp

Huntsville InfraGard is offering a Cyber Forensics Camp on July 27, 2018, from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in Huntsville, AL. The InfraGard member alliance has designed this camp to help educate your child on electronic and online safety. They are offering the camp to middle-school students ages 11-14 with parent's approval. Please see the flyer for more details.

Shipwrecked VBS

Please join us for the best week of summer! We will have our summer camp, "Shipwrecked 'Rescued by Jesus' VBS" on Sunday, June 3 through Thursday, June 7 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Children ages two and a half through fifth grade are welcome to join us. Children in grade six and up are welcome to join us as junior leaders! For more information or to sign up, please visit our summer camp event page

Lost and Found

There have been quite a few happy reunions as people visit the lost and found table. There are still some items left to find their owner. Please come take a look and see if your lost items are here. The table is set up in the hall near the school office in the Family Life Center.

Did You Get the App?

Grace Lutheran School has a new app! Just go to the app store and search Grace Lutheran Church School. Download the app and be sure to enter the contest (find the gold button with a pizza slice). The classroom with the most downloads for the contest will win a pizza party! The contest ends April 20.

The app has church and school tabs that will easily guide you to what you are looking for. Find the E-Crusader school newsletter and Grace Notes church newsletter with the click of a button. If your child is absent, you can go to the Absent Form tab, fill in the information, and it notifies the school office of the absence. You can check calendars, access renweb, contact teachers, and even send a prayer request by using the app. This is a great communication tool that’s easy to use!

Teacher’s Assistants

Do you love working with children? We are looking for a couple of part-time teacher’s assistants to help out in the afternoons. If you have an interest or know someone who does, please contact Stephanie McFarland in our CDC. You can call (256) 881.0553 or reach her via e-mail. Thank you!
