Summer Camp 2008 has been planned to be full of learning activities, fun-packed off-campus events, and lots of exciting projects! Come join us as we take a variety of adventures each week. Our days will be filled with devotions, and character development, PE, music, skating, field trips, swimming, computer time, sports, guest speakers, arts and crafts, games, and even fun academic review. We'll use "Bridge Books" to help us remember what we learned in school last year so we'll be ready for the next grade. We will begin at 7:00 each day and end at 5:30. All of the field trips, lunches, and snacks are provided in the weekly tuition of only $150.00.
Younger children who still need to take a nap will need to bring a pillow and a blanket. While the younger children rest, the older children will read or be involved in a quiet activity. All children will have their own storage space for personal items. Each child needs to bring an extra towel and an extra change of clothing. Every personal item must have the child’s name on it.
Off-campus activities will include swimming and field trips. All children shall wear tasteful and appropriate swimwear, and bring their own towel and any other swimming gear. All items are the responsibility of the student and must be clearly labeled with his/her name. Floats and large similar items need to be left at home. Non-swimmers must wear life vests that are provided by parents. All children involved in water play on or off the Grace Lutheran campus must bring pool shoes to wear. Information about field trips will be shared in advance. Some dates are “weather – permitting” and may need to be changed. For each field trip, written permission must be given on the field trip form. Children will not be allowed to go on field trips without written parental permission.
If you have any questions, please call our Summer Camp Registrar, Kay Helton, 652-1340. You may also stop by Grace Lutheran School to pick up or drop off registration papers between the hours of 8:30 – 2:30 or you may download the forms below. The first 50 children registered (per week) will be accepted and after that, names will be put on a waiting list.
