Grace Lutheran School was founded in 1963, starting with Kindergarten. One grade was added every year until 1969, ending with 6th grade. In 1977, 7th grade was added, and the next year, both 8th grade and Pre-K were added.
Grace expanded to include the annex in 1989 when the building was bought and 'annexed' from John Deere. Now, Pre-K through 3rd grade is located in the original building, while the rest of the school and school office are located in the annex.
In 2002, the Grace Lutheran Church and School decided to embark on an exciting building program - making an investment in the children of both aspects of Grace. The Family Life Center (FLC) was dedicated in 2006, and consists of a new gym, new cafeteria and lunchroom, and a youth room. Church congregation members finished the new school offices in spring 2007. Keeping an eye on the future, the FLC is two stories, leaving further room for expansion - after the second capital campaign's goal is reached.
