Cookie HalbritterSubject: German (6th - 8th Grade) Goal: To give the students a good understanding how to learn a language, cover about 800 words and enough grammar to form good sentences. It will give the students about one year High School German. I was born into an evangelical Lutheran family in East Prussia. WWII uprooted us and we had to flee to Bavaria. There I had my schooling. Further studies I accomplished in London, England; Madrid, Spain; Wavre, Belgium; Paris, France. Here in the States I visited five different universities and graduated in languages French/Spanish and a minor in ecology from the University of Texas. I was asked to teach in Spain, Turkey and in the Us. Since 1995 I am teaching at Grace and Covenant Christian Academy here in Huntsville, Alabama. My High School students compete every year at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and they do very well. I am also a member of the AATG (American Association of Teachers in German), and Pi Delta Phi Societe d'honeur francaise. |
