Louise WalkerGrade: 3rd Grade Degree: BA in Education from Concordia Teachers College (River Forest, IL); 6 hours towards a MA Responsibilities: Sunshine Fund; Volunteer Brunch; Chapel Co-ordinator; Grandparents Day Committee Past Experience: My teaching ministry began with a call to teach third and fourth grade at Bethesda Lutheran School in Chicago. I received a call to Huntsville in 1979 to teach third grade here at Grace Lutheran School. Teaching at this grade level continues to bring me great joy. Our curriculum is very good. In addition to that, we take field trips throughout the year for example Huntsville Utilities, the Nutcracker, a walking tour of Twickenham, and the Art Museum, to name a few. Third graders have such a teachable heart and daily they are ready to be moved by the Holy Spirit. This is one of the special privileges of being a Christian teacher and I am grateful to be part of the ministry here at Grace Lutheran. |
