Summer Adventures
May 29 - July 27, 2012
Summer Camp 2012 has been planned to be full of learning projects, fun-filled field trips, and lots of exciting activities! Come join us as we take a variety of adventures each week. Our days will be filled with devotions, character development, PE, music, skating, bowling, field trips, swimming, computer time, sports, guest speakers, arts and crafts, games, and academic review based on weekly themes. We will begin at 7:00 each day and end at 5:30. All of the field trips, lunches, and snacks are provided in the weekly tuition.
Younger children who still need to take a nap will need to bring a pillow and a blanket. While the younger children rest, the older children will be involved in a quiet activity. All children will have their own storage space for personal items. Every personal item must have the child’s name on it. If you’re concerned that your children’s toys or games might be damaged or lost, please leave these items at home. All items brought to summer camp are the responsibility of the child.
All children shall wear tasteful and appropriate swimwear, and bring their own towel and any other swimming gear. All items are the responsibility of the student and must be clearly labeled with his/her name. Since floats and other similar items are not allowed at the YMCA or other water parks, please do not bring these items on swimming days. Children who cannot pass the test at the YMCA will only be allowed in the shallow pool areas. Each week detailed information about that week’s field trips and activities will be sent home. Some field trips are weather–permitting and may need to be cancelled or rescheduled. For each field trip, written permission must be given on the field trip form. Children will not be allowed to go on field trips without written parental permission.
