Spring Sports Sign-Ups Underway

Spring Sports Sign-Ups are underway! PK-1st t-ball, 2nd & 3rd grade indoor soccer, and 4th – 6th grade track teams are starting sign-ups to begin in March. Playing sports at Grace is a great way to learn the sport and become more skilled at it. We hold a no-cut team philosophy. If you are interested in having your child participate in one of the spring sports teams, please contact Ms. Groggel.

PK-K and 1st-2nd grade Soccer

These are instructional leagues where the kids are learning the fundamentals of the game.  They play four on four with no goalie or scorekeeping.  The coaches for both teams are on the field, helping to ref and guide their teams.  Practices are usually twice a week after school and games are held on weekday afternoons or Saturday mornings.  The season typically runs from mid-August- end of September.  There is no fee for this age group, but we do buy soccer jersey t-shirts for the kids and ask the parents to cover the cost, which is usually $10-$12.  The kids keep the shirts at the end of the year.

3rd-4th grade and 5th grade Soccer

These leagues follow standard soccer regulations. They are seven on seven with a goalie, a ref, and score is kept. Practices are usually twice a week after school. Games are played on weeknights. Grace is unable to host any of these games as we do not have a regulation-sized soccer field. The season typically lasts from mid-August-early October. No games are scheduled during fall break. The fee for these teams is $50

5th-6th grade Girls’ Volleyball

This league follows standard volleyball rules. Practices are usually twice a week after school. Games are usually tri-matches with three teams each playing two matches a night. These take place on weeknights. The season typically lasts from mid-August-end of September. The fee for volleyball is $50.
